Hailing all the way from Little Rock Arkansas, Mik brings almost ten years of prop manipulation experience to the stage with him. Even though Mik has primarily practiced staff over the years he’s also taken the time to learn about many different two handed props, juggling, and different forms of fire manipulation. Incorporating all of these different skill sets into one style has made Mik a truly unique movement artist.

Tyfoods is a Hip-Hop Poi Dancer, Movement Enthusiast and Neuroscience PhD Student. He has been spinning poi for 9 years, and dancing for 7 years. In that time, he has developed a systematic approach that focuses on “how to learn tricks” rather than on the tricks themselves. He is the founder/developer of PropDanceCulture, a platform created to bring ALL movement artists together so that skill growth can be accelerated, key ideas may be shared, and creativity stimulated. Lastly, he has developed the app “Flow Arts Meetup”, which is an app dedicated to bringing together flow artists from all over the world. Available on both Android and iOS!
Amy Wieliczka started juggling with a single hoop in 2008 in a field in Delaware. After moving to the Bay Area, she took up residency at a warehouse with 35 foot ceilings and a dance floor. She now juggles all the things – but still mostly hoops – out of Oakland, CA. Over the past decade, she’s performed and taught workshops at juggling and flow events internationally. This is her 3rd year as a Board Member for the IJA, but her first year attending the in-person festival, and she is so excited to be sharing her particular fascination with contact hoop juggling with the Flow Show.

Krysten, Ryan and Natalie all perform together with Fox Valley Fire Arts, a Wisconsin based circus arts entertainment company. Over time, choreography has become a staple in their shows and together it is possible to finally choreograph with, teach and explore group flow arts and especially group poi. Their dream is to see partner poi become as accessible at flow jams as pass juggling is at juggling clubs. Partner and group spinning is a great way for any community to facilitate fun, socially enriching and unforgettable moments of group flow. You are encouraged to share what you learn with everybody back home.
