This workshop is dedicated to combining the two main styles of multihooping known as circus hooping and hoop juggling–something that despite “juggling” being associated with circus, you don’t often see done except for hoopers like Fer Sumano. In this workshop, we explore transitions from a juggling pattern to circus hooping, and vice versa. We’ll go over the main ingredient that leads to such a transition: A high final toss that gives you the maximum time to get into a transition, as well as a few transitions between the toss. The first few transitions (and the simplest) that come to mind are a three hoop knee split or a 3 hoop box split, but there are others I’m happy to do as time allows, such as a juggle to butterfly wings transition, or a foot hoop catch to three hoop box split transition, and each of these transitions can be done in reverse (including the three hoop wings, though that one is by far the hardest!).
