Teach Juggling for a Living
1. The staging and conduct of the All-school assembly that ends the school day
2. The staging and conduct of the Family Night and how to maximize attendance (everyone sits on the floor, families stick together, not “kids down front” – etc.)
3. How the PTA or the PE teacher can continue the program after your visit
- Continuation in the classroom with earned juggling breaks
- PTA meeting and other event presentations by your Master Jugglers to give the program status
- Juggling breaks and rainy day activities for classroom teachers
- Peer teaching within your school and between schools
- Courtesy regarding equipment and practice – eg. Value of practice, Eliminating negative comparison, Not interfering in another juggler’s practice or patterns
- Video and on-line support for continuation and advancement
- Starting a juggling club in your school or district
4. How to hold an after school district-wide inservice for PE teachers from all the schools in the district (after dismissal and before Family Night at landmark school)
5. Creating realistic schedules for your day in different schools so that you have zero downtime
6. Maxing out your classes using sound system and big screen video
7. How to deal with multi-grade level classes and physically disabled or mentally or emotionally challenged students.
8. Involving local media or students from your local high school to put your program up on social media
9. Equipment needs and domestic and international sources
10. Crowd control and getting and keeping focus
I’ll bring scarves, beanbags and a few other toss juggling props, but feel free to bring your own.
